Seek Ye First…..

Image
I am taking a pause from my normal marriage blogs and things of metal health to talk to everyone about something the Lord showed me in a vision yesterday. You see, my husband and I went from truly lukewarm Christianity, where we were listening to tons of secular music, drinking and living for ourselves to now living a life more Holy and free from all curses, all generational baggage, and more importantly free of everything that was holding us back to fully commit to the Lord. It all started when we decided to pursue the Lord with everything we had, we pursed even to our last dollar in the bank. And when we did that, we saw our lives change, there was a shift that we couldn’t explain. We witnessed super natural healings, chains breaking, and so much more.  The point to this post is this, Time is Short! The enemy has made it a lie that we all believe and think is true that we do have time. However, we don’t have that time. Our time here is limited and we each have a purpose an...

We all probably know one or more people who suffer from anxiety, and we probably have suffered from it as well. Anxiety is a universal experience, in which our world grows increasingly worrisome. This has prompted many modern thinkers to call the last half of the twentieth century the “age of anxiety”. Psychology and modern medicine provide evidence that worry and anxiety have disastrous effects on the human body ranging from ulcers to chronic feelings of unhappiness. As Christian’s how do we handle anxiety? In Matthew 6:25-32 the profound words of Jesus’ view of anxiety, his reasonings, and prescription can be found. Furthermore, the Lord states clearly that worry is a complete waste of energy and should not be indulged in because God provides for our needs.  The position of the Lord regarding Anxiety is pretty straightforward. This is what his word states; * God ...

Aging and what does the word of the Lord says

Image
In the world today, we have so many elderly people who have been forgotten, been put in homes, and have just been out of sight out of mind. As Christians though, we are called to do more than just let our elders parish. Let us take a look into what the Bible says about elderly people.   Elderly persons is referenced all throughout the Bible including aging. We first see this in Genesis, where long life is viewed as normal and desirable. The ages is to be respected, but it is not automatically equaled with goodness, wisdom, or even competence. The shortening of lifespan to 120 years is charged to the human evil, not to creation or human nature. ( Genesis 6:3)  The 10 commandments include respect for our parents and the Mosaic Law commands similar respect to all the elderly.  Everyone ages and should be recognized for the years of life lived. Even the old can be born again. They serve others to the very end, as we all should do. For in James 2:8 is states we sh...
